On June 17, 2025, BASF and Maichi Innovative Additive Solutions established a strategic partnership to provide future oriented intelligent solutions for polyurethane mixing equipment manufacturers to address the complex challenges in the current polyurethane production process.
Polyurethane is widely used in various industries due to its excellent durability and multifunctionality, but its production is complex and time-consuming, requiring precise mixing of multiple chemical raw materials and strict equipment requirements. Traditional equipment often lacks real-time monitoring and self-regulation capabilities, resulting in low production efficiency, high waste, and high costs.
Maichi's innovative intelligent monitoring system will be integrated into BASF's polyurethane mixing equipment. The system utilizes advanced sensor technology and machine learning algorithms to monitor production data in real-time, automatically adjust mixed parameters, ensure stable product quality, and reduce human intervention and defect rates. BASF will use its global sales network to promote new hybrid equipment that integrates Maichi technology, reach more customers, and help upgrade the global polyurethane industry.
The intelligent monitoring system can shorten the mixing cycle, improve equipment operation efficiency, reduce production delays and resource waste, and ensure the stability and reliability of polyurethane product performance and quality. Automated operations and real-time monitoring and warning systems reduce reliance on manual monitoring, reduce labor costs and equipment damage risks caused by operational errors, while accurately regulating production processes to avoid raw material waste and excessive energy consumption, achieving cost optimization. This cooperation has set a technological innovation benchmark for the polyurethane industry, prompting other enterprises to increase research and development investment, explore intelligent production models, and promote industry technological upgrading. Intelligent monitoring systems can optimize production processes, reduce chemical and energy waste, lower wastewater and exhaust emissions, and help the industry achieve sustainable development.
The head of Exe Industrial Equipment Technology Co., Ltd., a leading global manufacturer of elastomer systems, stated that this cooperation has solved the long-term pain points in polyurethane production, and the new equipment will greatly improve production efficiency and product quality. Industry experts believe that this cooperation is an important milestone in the intelligent upgrading of the polyurethane industry, which will drive the industry towards more efficient, intelligent, and sustainable development, and create greater value for global customers.
