BASF's all-water foam polyurethane spray foam insulation material: Helps improve the interior air quality of Suzhou Jinlong's latest bus
● Verified by Pony Testing Group (PONY), polyurethane (PU) foam meets stringent volatile organic compound (VOC) standards
● Improved flame retardant properties in line with new regulations implemented from 2018 (JTT 1095-2016*)
May 27, 2022 - BASF's water-foaming polyurethane (PU) spray foam insulation material has been applied to the latest passenger cars of China Shanghai Jinlong United Automobile Industry (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Suzhou Jinlong). Suzhou Jinlong, a leading passenger car manufacturer in China, and its parts supplier, Changzhou Tianshun Auto Parts Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Changzhou Tianshun), jointly developed the 100% water-filled open-cell polyurethane foam Elastoflex® CE 3651/ with BASF 108. Polyurethane foams that meet stringent volatile organic compound (VOC) standards provide better interior air quality for mass transit, as verified by Pony Testing Group (PONY) test reports. The high flame retardant properties of Elastoflex CE 3651/108 also meet the JTT 1095-2016 transportation industry standard, that is, the limiting oxygen index (LOI**) of interior and flame retardant materials for operating passenger cars is higher than 28%. China baby changing pad supplier
"This is the first time BASF has developed a low-odor spray foam system based on flame retardant (FR) technology and meets more stringent resistance requirements," said Desmond Long, vice president of BASF's Asia Pacific Performance Materials Transportation Division.
